Active Adults move freely and regularly to stay limber, flexible and continuously enjoying life and health. Sometimes, a little help or a gentle touch with the best way to move a stiff muscle or a tight or seemingly immovable joint can make all the difference in the world.
This class will teach and use Pilates principles of core centering and control, mental concentration along with encouraging the active use of breath and flow to move your body with the grace and ease. Stretch bands may be occasionally used for light resistance. With a little consistency, you may begin to feel like your "older, younger self" again.
Every active adult - male and female - is encouraged and invited to join the class. Bring nothing but your willingness to get up and move.
One student commented following a movement series class:
"Thursday night class using the equipment and following your specific instruction is another challenging class to "work our body" and increased my core performance. I really learned in this class to engage my entire core. I'm challenged to "use my body's ability to move" efficiently and to be mindful of this connection in all of my movements throughout the day.
It's fun really. I keep self-checking my posture and "core engagements" more often now.....simply because now I have attention and focus to do so and to become aware of this very important connection."
