It’s mid-month March and we are all thinking of clearing and cleaning out the weight and cobwebs of the winter. I spent my Sunday morning preparing a few new #SpringCleaning concoctions. This is a keeper.
Anyone that knows me, knows I have a Green Juice with heavy ginger root addiction. I brew, freeze and regularly drink veggies, juices and green tea. I have been for many years and do appreciate the kick of the ginger. Well, adding a tad of cayenne pepper made a difference in the mix. And after my morning stretch of Pilates or yoga and a couple of hard boiled eggs, few slices of turkey bacon and pita bread dipped in olive oil – yes, a very Mediterranean breakfast – I love this citrus shot of spice, flavor and goodness.
I don’t usually post food shots, yet I do enjoy sharing healthy secrets and this is one of those keeper concoctions. I am now making this juice in tandem with my green juices and generally make enough in my VitaMix to freeze and store them for the week.
This allows me to keep moving without thought and hesitation. The zing of the citrus juices combined with the ginger is such a sinus clearing, you will feel completely lifted and cleared from the inside out.
I add aloe juice (with the pulp) to simply add to the digestive clearing that I know it provides.
I do enjoy sharing healthy secrets and this is one of those keeper concoctions.
