There are horrible, unmentionable things happening in the world and this country at this point in time. The current administration’s campaign to remove, reduce and eliminate people of color, diversity and differences is growing.

Sometimes I feel like an ostrich with my head down and immobilized in shock. I stopped reading and listening to the news to avoid being sick every day with grief. As a result, consciously, my focus remains on my work and that of my students. I rationalize that maintaining our health and wellness is my best means of preparation for the future fight and #Resistance ahead of us all.

For sure, there will be a hard fight in months ahead.

I won’t go into all the cosmic energy shifts that are taking place at the same time. I won’t mention how hard Mercury, New Moons, Pisces and Uranus are pushing up against us in trines, squares and angles and such. Yet there is an effect that is felt and experienced.

Sometimes we simply must step back first to move ahead. Follow the circles and the lines to the center.

Sometimes we need to throw out those things from the past that no longer work to create space for the shiny new ones that will come to bear fruit.

This summer, I gleefully shed a few old things to open my small space to new light and energy. Literally.

I am grateful for its embrace in my community. For I know that small spaces such as this are mirrored by my teachers, friends and colleagues across the globe.  I am grateful, humbled, emboldened and thankful by the work we do together, here in this small, safe place.

I am also proud to be a part of a larger community of teachers, healers, body workers and movers that are helping, serving and teaching in other small spaces, much like this one.

We all work together. We all sweat together. We all play together.

We push, pull, pike and float together.
We feel the difference. And together we #Resist.
