Finding that final inch of movement is the process and the progression we all seek while on the mat with Pilates. What if we approached every opportunity on the mat with that thought or intention?
It’s the beauty of the system and the method. There is never a point of “feeling finished.” There is always another inch of depth, another open twist or re-alignment. There is always a new or different challenge or variation to the standard movement. Finding that final inch is the magic of the work.
I am proud of the extra inch all students seek to find in their work in class or private session. Extremely proud to witness the progression in movement as the year winds to a close. Everyone can see and feel the changes taking place in their own bodies.
