Ayurveda and Korean Skin Care, Pearl Essence Face Masks and  Moroccan Aragon Cream

At the end of Blossom’s “Twisting Themed Mat” lot of spiraling, rotation and total body twist and stretching, she noticed my skin and asked about the care regimen.

I am sure my face was flush and skin glowing, from just having gotten off the mat from her absolutely stellar session. It’s not the first time it’s happened. I am usually the older one in the group and I am grateful my skin (I like to think, nor my energy or attitude) is not reflective of my years.

Moisture is the key.  The use of natural herbs, oils and creams from all parts of the world, i.e., anything other than Ponds, Ivory or Rodan & Fields.  I use only cold water to wash my face and have been doing so for more than 40 years.

I learned to clean/clear and exfoliate with an ayurvedic skin care routine in my 20s, using Bindi. Developed by a botanist, Dr. Pratima Raichur, crafted the product formulations based on the ancient system of ayurveda; a natural system of medicine, which originated in India more than 3,000 years ago. The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge). Thus, Ayurveda translates to knowledge of life.

I switched to a Korean Skin care routine, using Saranghae, in my early 50s, as a result of a client’s recommendation. I still use the Bindi herbal cleanser (primarily milk powder, lentils, aloe, neem) to exfoliate my skin from time to time.

Korean Face Masks, Moroccan Aragon Oil Cream

Korean Pearl Essence Collagen Face Masks have become a regular item; wonderful after the steam or dry sauna.  I buy them in large quantity from Amazon.

Travel to Morocco introduced me to pure, natural Aragon oil handcrafted from women in the mountains. Moroccan Aragon oil is cold-pressed, it is an excellent carrier oil for skin and hair.
Aragon oil is extremely moisturizing and suitable for dry skin. Whipped into a cream, its delicious on the face, hands and cuticles.  The only disappointment is, I didn’t purchase enough while there and have not been successful in online search to purchase it’s quality again.
