I enjoy adding a little extra intensity to my private client sessions with the use of the Balanced Body #Orbit. It’s a great mixer to a Wunda Chair session and a fabulous ending to a mat session by incorporating standing rotational movements. Men and Women alike love doing Pilates Push Ups with it.
Nothing changes a straight pushup or press to pike up than the use of the Orbit in the process.
The “two-way” stretch and “oppositional movement with the use of the powerhouse is crucial to complete the movement with the Orbit. One must push down to engage and pull up the powerhouse to move the body.
Not unlike #Tendon Stretch on the reformer or #Wunda Chair.
I find the resistance on a wooden floor or dense carpeted surface equally challenging for most students.
The following video is my personal work as part of my Wunda Wednesday workout. As you can see thru the last few seconds of the video, I love both the oblique, hip and leg rotational movements with the tool.
There is nothing square about my body and #PilatesMakesYouMove in all directions.
