Sometimes “flipping the script” can help one find a new perspective to a regular challenge. This week, I played around in my personal work with challenging the powerhouse with #WallPlanks. First with a private client and then with my TRX class.
This! Nice change and challenge. Not Pilates but ’twas a vexing move with everyone that tried it. It becomes immediately apparent that if you focus on anything else but that powerhouse and you will simple wimper and slide down the wall. It’s a bodyweight resistance move (very yoga-esque) that simply takes the plank to another level – especially with the added challenge of hand stands and a little rotational movement.
I saw a post from another colleague highlighting the move and played with it. In a word. Nice.
