So I remember wearing a size 6-8 beautiful leather pants in my 30s with heels.

I kept them in the closet for years assuming I would get back into them. I was an 8-10 thru most of my 40s and 50s always felt comfortable in a “M”.

Isn’t it funny how long we hang onto stuff we don’t need?!

My sister and nieces are accustomed to “shopping in Aunty’s closet” as I developed a habit of getting rid of anything that wasn’t touched/worn for a season.

So a few weeks ago, I brought a bag of belts and handbags to my neice’s house. I just gave away belts that my waist has not liked for awhile, as well as a bunch of leather bags that hadn’t been used for a while.

One of my 35+ yr old nieces had the nerve to exclaim, with a scrunched face (when ***she*** couldn’t close the buckle)

“When did you wear this?!”

I am not at all ashamed to admit that I recently exchanged a size 12 linen slacks from Banana Republic, that didn’t fit right around my waist.

In no way am I upset about it.

At 66, I am pleased to still be standing, happy, healthy and curvy.

There’s simply more of me to love, in my #CurvyYears.
